- With more than 50 years of industry experience, Ian is an electrical power transmission specialist. He was awarded Tennessee Valley Authority's 2021 Engineer of the Year, and has also been elected as an IEEE Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Ian's research and findings have been published widely. Ian currently leads advanced planning and technology applications for the transmission system in the Transmission Planning Department at Tennessee Valley Authority.
